Many people prefer the aesthetic and decoration a wax melter provides. There are other benefits to using a wax warmer to melt wax, too though.

For example, they are far safer than traditional candles - where the presence of an open flame on the wick provides some degree of danger, however minimal.

Plus, there are even electric wax melters that make it super easy to quickly melt wax. You simply turn these on, and they warm up quickly to turn your wax melts into a puddle of delicious fragrance, which will fill the room and please your sense of smell.

ARE WAX MELT WARMERS SAFE TO LEAVE ON OVERNIGHT?
One of the many questions people have when buying a wax melt warmer for their home is whether or not it’s safe to leave it on overnight?

The answer is no, it is not safe.  A tealight wax melter won’t last more than 4-8 hours on average anyway, as they extinguish themselves once the wax is completely melted.
But electric candle wax melters, on the other hand, will need to be turned off before bed for safety reasons.

This is especially true if you have others in your house. If you have pets or children, you need to be very careful about leaving the heating element on your wax melt burner overnight, or anytime you aren’t in the room keeping an eye on things for that matter. 

The wax in the melter will be incredibly hot, as will the heating element itself, and can be dangerous.

WHAT TO CONSIDER BEFORE YOU BUY A WAX MELTER
If you’re in the market for a new candle wax melter in the UK, there are a few things you should consider first. Before adding anything to your cart, you should be aware of the different types.

We’ve touched on a few of these throughout this page so far, but there are some pro’s and con’s to each style. And the right type for you will depend on what type of wax you are looking to melt in your warmer!

WAX MELT WARMERS
Wax melt warmers are to be specifically used with tealight candles. These are tiny little wax candles, providing a very fine ambience to a space with a small light backdrop. Some of these use this tea light candle as the heating source, with a dish above for your wax cube.

The user typically uses a scentless candle because the fragrance is meant to come from the wax melt itself, which slowly starts to melt as the candle pushes more heat above. However, some users like to experiment with scented tealight candles and scented wax melt warmers to find cool new fragrances!

ELECTRIC WAX MELT WARMERS
The other main type of warmer is an electric wax melt warmers, which we covered a bit earlier. As the name suggests, these are a more convenient and efficient form of wax melt burner.

There are even a few different types of these warmers, each differing by the heating unit employed. One of the more common ones is an electric warmer that features a bulb inside the main house. This bulb serves as a source of light, sort of imitating the tealight wax melters. But, this bulb also produces heat to melt the wax!

Another type of electric warmer is one that features an actual heating plate for your wax melt. These may or may not feature a light still, but the main source of heat is from that heating plate, which requires an outlet for use.

HOW DO I USE A WAX MELTER?
No matter which style you end up going with, the next step is grabbing your wax cubes, along with some tealight candles if you decide to go that route.

Then, simply place your wax melt in the warmer or burner, and light your candle or plug in your device. From there, the wax melt burner will do the rest! You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the delicious fragrances that are to follow.

To get the most out of your wax melt burner and the melts you use in it, try to turn off the device once you’re satisfied with the fragrance in your room - otherwise, you’ll burn out your melts prematurely!
